North of Rainbow Bridge is full of activity and filled with anticipation as our Bridgekids prepare to welcome a very special Angel. It is with heavy heart Angels of the Snow received news of the passing of one of our most loving transport volunteers, our Official Siberian Rescue Grandma, Helen N. (Manchester, NH). Most worthy of her title, Helen provided the loving care and attention only a Grandma can provide as she soothed our rescues in transit to a new life. Helen will be sadly missed by all of us at Angels of the Snow, including our Siberians she so loved. Surely Buddy and all his friends North of Rainbow Bridge are
donning their Harnesses of Silver and preparing a glorious sled ride as they
race against the night sky to their jubilant reunion before escorting Helen to
her waiting family. Godspeed Helen, may your journey to Rainbow Bridge be
honored with the same love and respect you so generously gave our Siberians in
need. Our love travels with you always.
Linda Glass was a dedicated advocate for vision impaired furkids. She was the owner of the blinddogs list and co-ordinator of the IMOM Express a volunteer rescue transport for our vision impaired friends. Linda worked tirelessly and without complaint kept her own battle with MS a private matter. "Hearts are heavy at Angels of the Snow. Linda was my first contact when I adopted Gabby and the inspiration and confidant with each vision impaired rescue we have taken under our wings. On behalf of Angels of the Snow humans and Siberians, and most especially Gabby, Charity, Magic, Tinka, Tesha, Keota, and Nikiah, Dutchess, Keller, and Gentle Ben... Godspeed to Rainbow Bridge, Linda. We know Keller will be leading a special team of Siberians down from North of Rainbow Bridge to carry you on your journey. May your Angels guide you along the trail and the night skies open up with the reflective light from your team's Silver Harnesses, announcing your arrival and reunion with those you so lovingly reached out to help. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to Linda's family and special hugs to Tyler. Our prayers and thoughts are with you all." -- Shirley
The young pup and the older dog lay on shaded sweet grass watching the reunions. Sometimes a man, sometimes a woman, sometimes a whole family would approach the Rainbow Bridge, be greeted by their loving pets and cross the bridge together. The young pup playfully nipped at the older one. "Look! Something wonderful is happening!" The older dog stood up and barked, "Quickly. Get over to the path." "But that's not my owner," whined the pup, but he did as he was told. Thousands of pets surged forward as a figure in white walked on the path toward the bridge. As the glowing figure passed each animal, that animal bowed it's
head in love and respect. The figure finally approached the bridge, and
was met by a menagerie of joyous animals. Together, they all walked over the
bridge and disappeared. "No, son." The older dog replied.
"That was more than an angel. That was a person who worked
rescue."
