Steele spent his first few months chained to a tree. Later, an older couple adopted him and tried to do all the right things, but Steele was more than they bargained for, so they kept him in their basement. Steele's new family (pictured here) is more experienced with Siberians. They leave little doubt that he will be much happier now.

Nikiah and Keota and their new parents. The two Siberians found their way from Cape Cod to Ohio thanks to the transport team of Sean and Erin, Janice, Pete and Aghra, Soozi, Bob Baker (TOTTSH Rescue), Kathryn and Kathy (MaPaw Rescue), Matt, Pam, Sabra, and Tom Huse.
Brisco and Deno love to have their picture taken, although Brisco (left) was a little suspicious of the cameraman.
Tala is settling in to her new home with her new family. Her mom says she needs a bit of socialization: no jumping on my bed with all fours when you race through the house, no barking indignantly when you want to come in and eat your owner's breakfast. Tala's due to start obedience classes in September.
Zylo's mom wanted to update us on how her baby is doing. "I just have to tell you the fun we are having with this baby boy. He is the happiest puppy ever. We run and play. I am happy to say that he is fully trained. He goes to the back door when he has to go potty. That was hard, but all our hard work finally paid off. We are so happy to have him in our life. He is just the best dog ever."
After two weeks in Foster care in Dartmouth, MA, this beautiful, friendly 3 year old with brown eyes has found a home in Nantucket. Sparky's first owner surrendered him because he wasn't show material. Today, he romps all over Nantucket with his new owner who adores him and even takes him to work.
