Now how do you suppose Akima is ever going to untangle all those legs and feet?
Dusty and Havanna were rescued from deplorable conditions in Florida in June, 2000. Havanna, estimated to be 7-8 months old, weighed 23 pounds and had a 1 week old litter of four. She was too weak to care for herself or her puppies. Only one of the pups survived thanks to a foster Mom who nursed her with two hour tube feedings. Dusty was heartworm positive, but has responded well to treatment.
Havanna has gained some weight, and she and Dusty have recovered nicely from their experience in Florida. They are now in foster care in Massachusetts. They have bonded closely with each other, and would like to find a permanent home together
Left to right: Tesha, Keller, Dimi. Tesha is a special needs dog: she is blind in one eye (from glaucoma). Her false eye looks very natural, and she functions extremely well. Keller was rescued from a vacant house in Virginia. Blind, with prostate problems, he was unable to find a permanent home, and began his journey towards North of Rainbow Bridge in late June.
Precious was pregnant when Angels of the Snow rescued her. Three of her five pups are (l. to r.) Skylar, Gabrielle, and Toshi. Precious now lives in Canada. The pups have been adopted by families in New England.
Zoey's new family doesn't mind that she was once called a "wolf dog." Click HERE to read about Zoey. Kiska's mom shows off his Canine Good Citizen Certificate. Don't they look proud?
How can one little puppy get into so much mischief? When asked about these photos, Dimi says he was only trying to change the toilet paper roll and help with the laundry. Click HERE to see more of Dimi.
