Although Czar has bounced around from
one family member to another, he's basically been with the same group of
people for six of his eight years. It took a while to find the home
where he really fit in, and he had some bad habits to unlearn, but
finally he became a buddy for Jennifer's Dad. Czar's family
loves him and he gets terribly pampered with tons of attention,
kisses, hugs and toys. Jennifer says "Czar is filled with
personality and I just love that. I adore the breed, personality
and challenge. Once Jay and I move out of our condo, I plan to adopt huskies
myself."
Scarab meets Jaeger, the gray cattle dog who pronounces his name Ya-ger. On the right, Scarab and Jaeger pose with their Mom Donna and their human sibling John. Scarab was once considered unadoptable due to food aggression. Thanks to Heather at the shelter for letting Angels of the Snow know about this furkid in need. Scarab's new Mom writes: On our way home, we put Jaeger in the back seat of our SUV with John, and Scarab behind the back seat in the cargo area. After about 10 minutes Jaeger climbed over the seat back to join Scarab. They laid down with their heads on each other for the rest of the ride. At home, there's been no sign of food aggression. In fact, one of my cats was rubbing against her when she was eating, and she didn't bat an eye. You would think Scarab lived here all her life.
Before and After We're not sure exactly how much adoption changes the appearance of a Siberian, but we've got a few 'before and after' photos that allow you to make the comparison. Looks to us like everyone's smiling more in the 'after' pictures.

Juno, with Tara, Picasso, and his new dad and brothers. Juno's Mom writes: As I sit here Juno and Kimba are playing and running around in the great room. Juno has started to fit in quite nicely. He will take treats away from Kimba without her getting mad at him so I try to stay next to her while she has her treat and tell Juno to stay away. Our crate was too short for him when Steven put him in it the first night and he freaked out. So I don't think we will be crating him. He doesn't like being on the chain outside in the yard either and will let us know in 15 minutes to let him in. I called the underground fencing company and they are ordering the same collar for Juno. Once the snow is finally gone, Louis will come and train him. He is so different from Kimba. He pants all the time where Kimba hardly does, he is a messy drinker and she isn't, he's a barker and she's not. Its just like having more than one child with different personalities growing up in the same environment.
Almost Heaven Back in the snowy days of January, 2005, three boys from West Virginia came to Massachusetts in search of new homes and loving families. On a day that should have been filled with nothing but joy, Angels of the Snow volunteers discovered a laceration on Bentley's front paw. After a brief delay and some emergency surgery by the good folks at Uxbridge Animal Hospital, Bentley was finally united with his new family. Nanuq (formerly Duke) is a bi-eyed beauty that always seems to be saying, "Let me in. Please, let me in." Randy and Penny did exactly that. Though Penny and Randy let him in, Oscar the cat still needs convincing. Mac is still looking for his "forever home" as he recuperates from a case of heartworm. The good news is that the doctors expect a full and complete recovery for this friendly little guy.
Dakota is a refugee from Fitchburg, Massachusetts. It took a while, but Angels of the Snow finally found him his forever home and a lifelong companion in 9 year old Samuel.
