Our Angels of the Snow volunteer wasn't sure things would work out for Klondike and Wayne. Wayne was a very meticulous person and a very neat housekeeper. Klondike was, well, a Siberian. It took no time at all for Klondike to teach Wayne about life with a Siberian. In short order, they went through two levels of obedience training. (Wayne passed with flying colors.) Then Klondike took over Wayne's bed, Wayne's chair, and Wayne's life. "He's the best thing that ever happened to me," Wayne says. These little guys were rescued from a puppy mill, thanks to a very alert Animal Control Officer. All three now have permanent homes. Max, Jerry, and Poppy with their new humans. Don'tcha just love happy endings?
It has been such a long time since I sent you new pictures of my bewootiful self, so I borrowed Mom's digital camera and took these pictures. Ahhroo, I hope you like them. - Taz (An Army of One)
Big Mac says goodbye to the cat (in the window) as he heads off to meet his new family. Mom and Dad have a few parting words of advice and a kiss goodbye. Big Mac tentatively approaches his permanent family. He looks back to make sure it's OK. "Is this it?" he asks. "Is this finally it? Is this what everyone has been promising me? After so much time and so many foster homes, is this one forever?" Mac gets an encouraging nod from his foster parents and moves right in to give his new Mom a big kiss hello.
Kids, Sibes, and summer... What could be better? Kiska enjoys a little love from Kira and Katana. Don't get the wrong impression, though. These kids are never left alone (unsupervised) with dogs. The only time they're like this is when mommy wants a picture.
