Colleen is from Nova  Scotia and has been active in blind dog rescue for years.  She recently adopted Rose Red.  Previously, she adopted Precious and Nikolai.  From north of the border, she writes:

Here's a pic of Precious (with Nikolai behind her).  Precious is not a super-motivated 'puller'.  She just loves FUN!  Nikolai is one of 27 Sibes seized here a couple of years ago in a cruelty case.  I made the 'mistake' of fostering the part-blind boy (one eye blind, the other with abnormalities).  I've fostered blind and visually-impaired guys for SPCA before, but this was the first foster-Sibe I FAILED!  I couldn't help myself: I fell in love and decided to keep him.

Gabby's Rowdy Friends from Florida

A few of Gabby's friends (TJ, Sierra, and Savannah) from Florida keep in touch via e-mail when they're not partying in their RV.  Can you guess which one of them is blind?

Colleen helps Rose Red during her transport to Nova Scotia.

CELEBRATING BIRTHDAYS

Top row: Tuns on her way to celebrate her 14th birthday in the back of the family's SUV (Siberian Utility Vehicle).  The celebration was held in Maine.  Bottom Row: Ty poses for his birthday pictures.  Dad and his two siblings made a birthday cake for him.

On her first day alone in her new home, Angel dug her way out and managed to escape.  She wandered around town sniffing trees and getting acquainted with people. Another friendly Siberian owner caught up with her and returned her to her panicked owners.  Angel's yard is more secure, now.  She loves her new people (Erin and Mike) and her new home in New Hampshire.

Is Nikita happy to be on the way to her new home, or what?

Transported to southeastern Massachusetts first by Kelly and then by Jennifer and Jay, Nikita looks around for her new family.  Nikita and her new brother size each other up, and then Kyle tentatively reaches out to pet his new sister.  Yep, she's OK, mom.  Come on over and say Hi!  Let her know she can stay... forever.

Annie and Dave are pleased to announce the arrival of the newest addition to their family.  He is a 2-year-old Siberian husky named Nikolai, Niko for short.  He has beautiful black and white fur and pale blue eyes.  He is also very intelligent but has a certain devilish look in his eyes.

Dave writes: We received Niko from Angels of the Snow and send a tremendous THANK YOU to Joy and Kris for taking such good care of him.  Niko came to us just hours before the Blizzard of 2005 and believe me that he was in 7th heaven when the snow started flying!  We took him for a walk on Sunday morning.  It was 7 degrees outside with about 20" of snow, but we walked down the road and said "Hi" to everyone clearing their driveways along the way.  We are very happy to have him in our home and hope he is with us for many years to come.

Chyna was Linda's first adoption (far left).  Then a few months later along came Nicki.  Seems like a fine match, even including Lucy (Linda's cat).
