Oreo was recently surrendured to Angels of the Snow who had a new family for her within a few days.  Above, she poses with Dad.  At right, she waits with Penny to go outside.

Did you ever see a Siberian strike so many poses for the camera?  Czar lives in Rhode Island with Jennifer and Jennifer's parents.  They all love him dearly, the lucky dog.

TRANSPORT4

Four Pups-in-Need Travel to New Homes

On Wednesday, June 23, 2004, four pups traveled from Pennsylvania to Massachusetts and points beyond in one of the most complex transports ever organized by Angels of the Snow.  After brief stopovers, the dogs made their way to homes around New England and Canada.  Joy organized the 600-mile transport.  Twelve Volunteer Angels (Lorraine, Anita, Mary, Nancy, Colleen (both of them), Gail, Wendy, Peter, Kelly, Shirley, and Joy) assisted with the animals and did the driving.  Thanks, Angels.

The pups included two white Siberians (Luka, left, and Zack, right).  Scooby, an honorary Siberian, joined the group, along with Rose Red, who was rescued from life in a squalid trash heap.

Scooby's got his bags packed and is ready to go.  Mary gives Zack some water.  After his drink, Zack climbs back in his crate.  At the right, Colleen poses with Rose Red, who needed an emergency medical stop to fix stitches from her spaying.

Luka settles in with Janet and Mark (who flunked Fostering 101 in only five days).  Scooby now lives with Vanessa and Liz in Provincetown.   Zack sits for Maureen.  Rose Red follows Colleen to her new home in Nova Scotia.  Don't you just love happy endings?  Thanks everyone for a great team effort.

Layla

Layla has had no trouble settling in with Dennis and Lori.

Prince

Prince is a funny little guy who gets very vocal when he wants attention.  He has an almost soprano pitch to his howl, and will throw his head up and let go with one of the most 'woe is me' songs you ever heard.  His new family also had a few laughs when Prince explored their Christmas tree.

Buffy

Buffy meets her new family... and gets the word about house training.  After saying hello to all the humans, Buffy and Joey get acquainted.  Debbie says Buffy's house training shouldn't be a big problem.  When she has to go, she runs over to the slider.  We just have to make sure we get over there fast.  She's like a little kid who waits until he's almost ready to wet his pants before he'll tell you.  Same thing with puppies.

Kyah

Looks like Kyah has found a home on the Cape.
