It's almost two years since we were fortunate enough to adopt Brisco (right) from Angels of the Snow. I just thought you'd like to know he's doing extremely well. He and Deno are great friends, as you can see from the photo. Brisco had a rough start in life, but you'd never know it now. Physically he's filled out and his coat is shiny and beautiful. He's calmed down and matured. He has personality plus, and he loves to play and go on long walks. He especially likes rides in the car. So, I thought you'd enjoy this photo and update. Thank you again for bringing us together with this great husky. - Denise
Boz and Akki enjoy one family in two homes. They spend the weekdays in Boston and the weekends in Chatham.
Note from a Foster Mom: I brought Kodi to our house to foster until we had a forever home ready for him. In the end, Kodi adopted us! He fit right in with the family and we decided that he needed to stay here. He has rejuvenated Fredi who now initiates play time with him. And he was a good brother to Christy during her last month of life. We're so happy to have Kodi in our family. He loves everyone and the feeling is mutual.
Wolfie, formerly known as Grey Wolf, has filled out a bit since she came to Angels of the Snow as a skinny Siberian about to give birth to puppies. Click HERE to read her story. Her Mom writes: This girl absolutely LOVES to run and play, but she's not looking her best in these pictures cuz she's been doing just what she loves - running, digging, playing, and dipping her legs and nose in the little kiddie pool. She's so dirty and muddy here, but that's the true Wolfie, having some good fun on a nice warm afternoon.
Zoey (on the left) spends treat time with the pack and quiet time with Dad. Update from Laura: Zoey has made herself right at home here. She no longer is crated at night and has taken to sleeping on the bed with mommy and daddy. She loves to wrestle with Ripton and chase Terje and Ally around the back yard. She gets plenty of exercise! We found that she's also quite a swimmer. We took the dogs to the river behind our house to cool off, and Zoey (on lead) went right to the deep area and swam around. We're in our fifth week of obedience class. She's a star, except we haven't quite mastered that 'stay' thing. Just a matter of time, I'm sure. She's very vocal and likes to bark more than the others. We tried a citronella collar for her, but it didn't work. She loved to bark and spray the other dogs with it. We also tried a spray bottle of vinegar and water, but it just made her smell like a pickle. I'm concerned about the neighbors, so any advice would be much appreciated.
Siber Express: Maryland to Cape Cod Angels of the Snow Siber Express volunteers rescued FOURTEEN pups from a shelter in Maryland and transported them all safely to Cape Cod. Myatuck (top left and right) was reluctant to leave any of his friends behind, but quickly assumed the alpha position on the trip north. That's Taz with the purple bandana; she acted as Navigator on the long haul to the Cape. Thanks to the Transport Team: Christi Nelson, Christine McDermott, Kathy Walker, Bob Baker, Noelle Fischer, Sue Williamson, Ashlee Cabral, Ed Chaisson, Pete Campbell, Joy Curtis, Janice Jezek, and Mary Pitts. Happily, all of the pups have been adopted.
