He's now living in Hyannis. Angels thanks you. Tucker's new Mom is getting him off on the right foot. Here he is at his first computer lesson (left). In the photo on the right, he's learning to take out the trash. Mom writes that he loves the snow and is getting along well with Bruin (their husky mix) and the family's four cats. A note from Tucker -- Hi Everyone, it's me, Tucker. I have to let you know I'm doing real good. I am getting used to my new home and all my four legged brothers and sisters. My big brother, "Bruin" and I are having a great time. We get to wrestle and play tag and he is teaching me lot's of great things; like how to really enjoy a chew bone and "checking out" the animals in our backyard (squirrels, raccoons, and opossums). I am learning to get along with the cats, one of my sisters taught me the first night I was in my new home that SHE is the boss! (She swiped my nose!) My other sister and two brothers and I are still adjusting. We kind of agree, "if I don't bother them, they won't bother me." I really like it here cause I have a nice place to run, I got to enjoy the snow outdoors, I've got lots of toys and chew bones and my own "house" (crate) to sleep in. Mom and Dad told me I am going to meet my new vet, Dr. Mac, next Thursday. They have told her all about me. I hope she likes me. I'll say bye for now. Woof-Woof to all. A note from Dr. Mac -- Tucker is very handsome. He's a real jewel of a dog. I expect him to have a long and happy relationship with his new parents. They've found a good dog, and he's found a good home. Another note from Tucker -- It's me, Tucker! I hope you remember. Sorry I haven't been in touch for a while, but I've been getting used to my new home. As you can see from the pictures below, I have my own apartment. It's great here! Mom and Dad give me "loves", Bruin plays with me, and even the cats have accepted me, although Squeek sometimes scolds me if I get too close. Bruin teaches me stuff, like howling and digging, and when I'm done, I lay on my back to take a nap. Mom says I'm maturing into a very handsome dog. Take care. Bye for now. Mushing and Carting What do you do with four (4!) Siberians that love to run? You do what Janice Jezak does: you hitch 'em up to a cart or - if there's enough snow on the ground - to a sled. Janice is one of the original Angels. Her dogs are named Carlie, Zak, Niki, and Timmy. Jenna, the visiting pup with the big ears, seems to prefer the indoors.
Angel, Max, and Tesha enjoy the recent snow in the northeast.
Remember these guys? That's Prada and Tolstoy on the day they were adopted. Two years later they pose with their little brother Joe sitting between them. Mom reports some anxious moments when Prada escaped their fenced-in yard and was hit by a car. Luckily, she recovered, and everyone's fine now. Tolstoy is a very protective big brother. When friends visit, he positions himself between the visitors and the baby so that the visitors don't get too close.
Update from Nancy: Fredi is doing great and settles in more and more every day. She gave Colleen, our youngest, a great big kiss the other day. As you know, Fredi is very selective with her kisses. She also laid down and let Colleen brush her for about 20 minutes! She is such a big love and very popular at the girls' school. Her latest fun is playing soccer with the boys' basketball after school. Too cute to watch. She and Christy have continued their mutual tolerance - only an occasional snipe over food from Fredi, which is understandable considering how funny she is around food anyway. She still does the dinner dance (complete with singing) , which never ceases to be funny. One of Colleen's friends was here one afternoon having a snack with Colleen at the kitchen table while Fredi was doing the dinner dance. Morgan said, "Look! A snack and a show." I couldn't stop laughing. The picture of Fredi (on the left) is a perfect example of her as "Sharkdog." When she walks past the kitchen table, all you can see is her tail waving in the air. Then Kevin starts doing the music from Jaws. The kids are Kevin (12), Megan (10), Colleen (7). The dogs are Christy (16) and Fredi (13).
