Angels of the Snow is a private, all-volunteer Siberian Husky rescue group serving the northeast region.  Our main concern is saving abused, neglected, and abandoned Siberians and their canine cousins.  We rehabilitate them, if necessary, and find adoptive homes where they can begin a second life in a loving, caring environment.

Most of us work at full-time jobs in other professions and simply spend our free time helping good Siberian Huskies out of bad situations.  Click HERE to learn more about the people in our organization.

The first critical part of rescue is transporting animals out of dangerous situations into a protected environment.  This is the function of the SiberExpress, a network of volunteers that have been known to drive all night long to save a single Siberian life.

Once Siberian Huskies are brought to our rescue,  they are evaluated for temperament, brought up-to-date on shots, altered, and placed in a foster home awaiting their permanent home.  Yes, we said foster home.  Like most rescue groups, we also do not have our own shelter.  We rely heavily on volunteers to foster the animals we rescue.  Our foster homes are mostly in Massachusetts, but they are also located in Connecticut, New Hampshire, and New York.  Other foster homes can be set up wherever volunteers are willing and able.

Please research this breed carefully so you know what you are getting into.  We have great links on this web site and some great information on Siberian Huskies to get you started.  The article 'I Am Your Puppy' will be particularly helpful. If you have a dog with special needs, please read about Gabby.

If you would like to adopt a  Siberian Husky - even after reading about them - please complete our on-line application.  References will be checked and your home will be evaluated before you will be able to meet our Siberian Huskies.

We invite you to explore our site for authoritative information on dogs in general and Siberians in particular.  Siberians are a special breed, with their own unique qualities.  Their independent spirit has frustrated more than a few owners.  They are bred to pull sleds in the frozen north, so they like to run.  But they are also exceptionally clean and incredibly handsome.  They are gentle, affectionate, friendly, adaptable, and highly intelligent.

If you are considering adopting a Siberian from rescue, you've come to the right place.  Please feel free to browse Angels of the Snow at your leisure.  Click HERE to find out more about the adoption process and the dogs that currently need a home.

Love and Licks, Angel
