Angels of the Snow's adoption procedure is somewhat flexible, but quite straightforward.  It consists of six primary steps.

1. Familiarize yourself with the Husky breed.  Read all there is to read about Huskies; the links on this site offer some of the best resources available.  Spend time with dogs, particularly Huskies if possible.

2. Fill out and submit the application form that will be emailed to you.  If you prefer, you can print the form, enter the required information, submit it by mail to Angels of the Snow, P.O. Box 434, North Eastham, MA 02651.  A prompt acknowledgement will follow.

3. Complete a home inspection.  This is a friendly visit to ensure that any Siberian that lives in your home will be safe, secure, and well-cared for.  Your new addition should have a comfortable living space, a fenced-in exercise area, and a place where he can relieve himself.

4. Meet with Angels of the Snow Volunteers.  This is done to ensure temperamental compatibility with your prospective pet.

5. Sign adoption agreement.  The adoption agreement is a binding legal document with certain requirements that must be met.  You must read it carefully and understand it fully before signing.

6. Take your Husky home.  It is no longer your home; it is his home.  If you are good to him, he will let you continue to live there.
